James, tried the new intelmacs yet?
Getting a g5 soon, but I'm not really 100% on wether I should wait or not.

im gettin a power pc g5 this week. i figure macs hold their value really good so even if i use the powerpc one for 6 months and the intels are living up to expectations and all the software has caught up, ill sell the powerpc and get an intel and probably lose a couple hundred bucks tops. either way the powerpc is proven and stable and you can really go wrong with it.

yeah.. that irritates me, as i've invested in a few FW800 drives since my couple mac purchaes do have FW800 ports. i'm hoping it will be included on the 17" models when they come out.
