Hi guys,

I'm currently using a Line6 Toneport UX1 for my recording and am not really satisfied with the results. I was thinking of getting a DI box to put with the interface but after reading up on this forum it looks like upgrading my interface would be a better idea. I'm looking at either the Saffire 6 USB or the Saffire PRO 14. Is there any reason why I would choose one over the other (eg. is using Firewire better than USB)? Similarly, is there any reason I'd choose the PRO 24 DSP over the PRO 24?

Thanks.

Got the PRO 24 DSP 2-3 weeks ago and well... the VRM thing is IMO pretty useless but I like to have two headphones out!
If one day you are going to record some drums, go for the 24 instead of the others, it got 8 channel ADAT input on Optical Connector where you can plug a rack of 8 preamps.

Otherwise, I love my Saffire pro 24 DSP, works great!

I highly recommend a Motu 8 pre. They're super stable and you can link 4 of them together. I've had mine for about 4 years now and not a single problem yet.
