The Band - By Blood and Fire
Singer is a chick
5150's x 2 using 5150 cabs both guitarists recorded simultaneously (one of them insisted on using his BBE rackmount sonic maximizer, while the other I stuck my TS9DX Turbo - miced with Audix i-5 straight and sm57 off axis
Presonus Firepods x 2
Bass was Audix D6 + Sansamp
Vocals ADK TC Tube Condenser
Drum Mics were SeElectronics SE-1 Stereo pair
Audix i5 on top and bottom snare
Audix D6 on kick
Sennheiser E609's on toms
Snare was replaced with a snare sample we made using a 13 inch Piccolo with i-5's on top and bottom (I tried several different mics, including sm57, and Se 609 combo's and the i-5's sounded more natural.

It's the first 2 songs on their myspace

Let me know what you think!

whoah, you guys think it's that bad eh?:erk:
no. it's not too bad. I like the guitar tone but the sloppyness destroys the music, imho. you should try recording it none live - which I assume it is - and it should be quite nice. oh and bring the snare a bit up. and try to clear up the muddyness by compressing and/or sidechaining the drums, they need to be more present.
