I'm a giant fan of Summoning and have been hoping a band would one day play their style of "black metal" properly. Finally a band from Salt Lake City (unexpected origin for such a band) called Caladan Brood has done it! There are times on this album that I think they may have even improved on Summoning a style. I would be very surprised in this album isn't in my top five at the end of the year.
