Ok. I just thought that those DIs are used so much in this forum, i didnt consider the SM57 thread to be the ORIGINAL thread. I thought that if the OP of that thread didnt know what it was then other people who HAVE actually used these DIs countless times wouldnt occur to them to check the SM57 thread to answer.

That made sense to me at least. Sorry...

EDIT: yea well not that it matters but in case you ever read that i take it back. i had literrally fire going outa my ears from my focusrite giving me trouble. there was no need to comment on it. last time i heard sarcasm was legal. ha! cheers.

IIRC it was Jeff's custom Stinnett.

Yep it was Jeff's Stinnett guitar. Mahogany body, maple top and maple neck with EMG-89 in the bridge.
