I've had this ML for a while, and I think it's a 79, but the thing is, is it's a bolt on.

It's also Korean, can anyone tell me exactly what model this is??

Every 79 model I've seen seems to have the zebra humbuckers so it's a bit of an odd ball. Have you posted over on the Dean forums? They have a pretty active community and can probably give you some information based upon the serial number if you have it.

Real 1979 Deans were built in Dean Zelinsky's shop in the USA, they have giant headstocks, and they are all neck thru design. Korean Deans didn't appear until the 90s and 2000s.

What you have is a 79 "inspired" model basically. They can still be decent guitars.

You've all been more helpful then the Dean Forum. Most of the responses I got were in the vein of: " DUDE THATS TOTALLY NOT A 79!"

Its a Korean made low end entry level Dean ML. They been making them since like 06 I think
