what do you guys think? all i know is that it sucks, i am a guitarist and thats really what pulled my in the solos and riffs by the hoffmans.

I take it you have not seen them live yet without them, as in all honesty if you had this question wouldn't need to be asked.
When I saw them in Glasgow Glenn seemed invigourated and was much more lively. Although it is bad news they are no longer in the band I think they will definately continue.

Man i dont know, i guess from a musical point of view it is almost impossible to replace the destructive duo. Looks like Deicide wasnt as tight as Glen Benton said. I think i remember him saying Deicide was closer then ever and that this whole SCars of the Crucifix album was supposed to give rebirth to deicides previous efforts. I think Hoffmans did what they needed to do which is cool with me cause idont give a flying fuck where they end up, their guitaring was heavily influencial with what i have learned on guitar. Even though these days i am playing stuff more slower and heavier still their methods have taught me how to play tight. Deicide in my opinion is toast, i think Glen should just fuck it and make Vital Remains his band. i read an interview from glen about it and the way hes sayin they r already twice as good as they were with the hoffmans, he said they are tearin the riffs up and even know most of the songs better after 3 weeks practice then the hoffmans did, dave suzuki and tony lazaro from vital remains are going to be on the next cd they record so i hope they stay brutal and start playin the old shit again
hey man thats sounds pretty cool to hear. Why not just break up deicide after the contract is up and go with vital remains, i think thats where the obligation should be. I still dug the Hoffman bros thuogh, their playing had a really awsome sound. But then again.........theirs always better.and if these guys from vital are the shit then hey let deicide be REBORN!

Hmmmmmmmmmm, i guess that could be true. See i only make observations based on what i read and hear about through fans from all over the world. Deicide is the reason i got into death metal.....well them and Cannibal corpse so i kinda know Deicide's line up and noticed the hoffmans as one of the tightest playing guitarists i have had the privilage of hearing. I gues i was kinda surprised that they parted away right in the middle of this whole Earache contract. If you check out the dvd one of the brothers talk about how happy they are with Deicide and all and how this album was a challenge to make and all so i guess that itself is kinda a strange turn considering the fact they have parted. Its too bad that Glen Benton and the Hoffmans were not getting along. I always thought those guys were like a family. But i am hearing good news about the new lineup so this is goign to be very interesting in my eyes. I am just glad Deicide never broke up, i always thuogh without the hoffmans their is no Deicide........guess based on what all of the fans have wrote that whole idea was a high misunderstanding and pre judgement, Deicide is Deicide and as long as their is a Glen Benton their will always be a Deicide! Cutos to Glen for sticking it out and not quiting and always to his contributions to myself and all of us metal fans. I apreciate it bigtime. People can say what they want and judge but i dont care if he is grouchy, arogant or moody, Glen is the shit and the new Deicide line up could be the next best thing. based on what I read, glen and steve were at an airport and eric said he was coming. they waited and waited. Finally, glen called one of the guys from vital remains. on a little side note- they had a little 'fan club' a few years ago. It was $5.00 and you were supposed to get 'exclusive news, stickers, etc.' Supposedly, they sent something through the mail, but I never got it. I just got one e-mail about Scars, telling the release date and tracklisting(I already knew this at least a month before).

I wasnt depressed just shocked at them actualy parting ways, like i said i thuoght they were a family. I read some interviews on why they broke up and Glen Benton had a lot of negative things to say about Eric and Brian Hoffman. He cut them up real bad, i never knew he had so many ill feelings towards both of them. Its hard to understand why and very misleading. I always thuoght it was Glen Benton that didnt want to do the long sets but acording to interviews it was the Hoffmans who didnt have any motivation in playing longer sets. Anyways i think its time to brace ourselves for what could be the next best thing. Thier have been reports that Deicide with Suzuki and Owen have been brutal live. I have read they are tight and super brutal. This is KILLER to hear. Glen seems so much more optimistic then before. He said and i quote "i got rid of the problem" So hey DEICIDE will reign another storm of brutality with new soldiers FUCKING RIGHT MAN!
Oh i know this is unrelated but i have had numerous emails in regards to my songs i have on soundclick. I am sorry it isnt what some of you guys like but dont hound my email box with hatemail and telling me i am a fag and someone who cant play.
