Canada is now a mini US (even more).

were putting our trust in an asshole who wants to privatize healthcare, who would of two years ago sent troops to Iraq, who wants to lower taxes which takes away an incredible amount of funding for healthcare and the education system. Great job you rightist dick Harper. Oh and lets just let the homosexuals stay married, they are people too. Marijuana should if anything be decriminalized, theres no need to send someone to jail for smoking a spliff, its calming and soothing.

me...........uninformed.........I think not.

Harper would like to keep public health care but also have private health care for the people who have the money.

Iraq should be delt with if they are causing problems, and I hate all the immigrants and refugies coming here and wanting muslim law . . . I can't belive Martins government even considered the idea, this is fucking Canada!

Tax cuts would be great . . .so I, the working poor can get a fucking break! There's no need for them to be this high.

And another damn thing, people who are healthy and are just sitting on welfare will be booted off. Welfare will only be availible to those who are not able-bodied or need a helping hand up (courtise of Mr. Harper).

Martin also cut a big chunk of funding from the provinces (ie. funding for education and health care) to lower his debt.

The Liberals have broken modst of their promises.

The Liberals also scamed us and took money . . . and wasn't it Chretien who said "one billion here, another billion there"? That's fucking disguisting! And the Liberals say they have no money, so they raise taxes! A billion dollars is a LOT of fucking money to waste!

The Conservative party is the only one who does not have debt.

Also, when Paul Martin was finance minister to Jean Chretien he closed all of the out of country factories Canadian companies had set up else where except for Barbados. Now, this day, Martin has a line of cargo ships that he is running out of Barbados because the labour cost are cheaper! And do you know what? He laid off ALL his Canadian workers.

Do you want a person like this running your country? I sure don't. I rather have Harper and see what he's like. If I don't like him, I'll vote him out in the next election, simple as that. I hold no party loyalties.

you shouldnt be voting ever if you are going to act like that. Your trusting politicians, you really are that un-informed arent you.

OH...whats that I hear......the sound of the inequality train coming?

i still dont think you understand. By doing this all the good doctors we have left (most of them are in the states) will open there own businesses charging loads, leaving the people with no money to shitty doctors and shitty treatment, and Canada is NOT supposed to be about inequality among people.

Good point but there is a balance. Public health care is good for people who can wait but if you need an operation right away or you'll die, you're shit out of luck because chances are that there's someone else before you that needs that same job done or they'll die. Private health care, you do pay a lot but still, there are little or no waiting lists. Now, if the government paid the doctors that went into the public sector the average rate of what a private doctor gets that could fix the problem. The reson every public doctor is moving to the States or is opening up their own business is that they feel that they don't get paided enough. That is a problem for the government to take care of. Also, it seems that our health care system is full or administrators and such, too many paper pushers and not enough floor staff (ie. doctors and nurses ect.) That's what contributes to the decay of our healthcare system as well as the waiting lists being huge.

So what you're saying is... Good health is not a right, it's a privilidge?

Well, when you look at other countries, some of them don't have health care and I belive that it truly is a privilage to have it for free . . . wait a sec, I madec a horrible mistake . . . it's not free I pay for it with my tax dollars.

its cheaper to pay in tax dollars than to pay for it throughout the year as you get sicks especially if you reocurringly get sick

And with the break between public and private, if theys till intend on keeping public, your tax dollars will still go to it ;), only now you won't get anything in return cause like bryan said, all the GOOd docs will hop to private leaving you paying a lot for shitty public healthcare.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. You'd still pay high taxes that are equvilent to what you'd pay for private except some of those tax bucks go to the government for them to spend on useless shit.

No, the fact is, you're now paying more/the same for less. The privatization of the health services in countries do not work. We pay taxes for NHS including denistry but we have to use a private dentist and doctor as all the NHS ones in 60miles fucked off private. As a result, i, who actually earns cash pays for a health system i am not able to use.

It doesn't work.
