How the fuck is Tales of Creation boring if Nightfall isn't?

Ummm, because Nightfall has better riffs, better songwriting, better vocal lines. Mind you, I haven't listened to ToC in a long time, but I remember not being as thrilled about it as I was about Nightfall. So calm down, alright?

Tales of Creation is a logical transition from Nightfall, after Ancient Dreams. Its quality is about the same for me.

Their first four albums contain 2 of my all time favorite doom metal songs. (hell, metal in general, fuck, music in general)

I used to consider all four godly, but the more I listen to the albums, the more I realize that all three Messiah albums are redundant. At The Gallows End and Dark Reflections might be capable of rounding out Epicus Doomicus Metallicus into the typical 8-song 80's metal classic, but even those would probably be the weakest. One of the definitive debut-load-shooting bands.

EDIT: They also made me realize that Marcolin sounds like a goof next to Langqvist.

I wasn't thrilled by Ancient Dreams and I haven't heard Tales of Creation, because I stopped at Ancient Dreams. First 2 kick arse though. I'll check out Tales then.

Yes! They're all classics!

Out of all their albums, EDM and Nightfall are my favorite and 2 of my all time favorite doom albums. The rest aren't too shabby either.

Their first four albums are all good imo, but Tales of Creation and Nightfall are my two favourites.
