sell your current car, use the money from what you get as a downpayment on a new MX5 ... and then the $10k you were ready to blow anyway is good for monthly loan payments for at least 2 years ...
btw, i already thought of that and it sounded so boring compared to driving a turbocharged monster. but in all honesty, i dont give a crap. i like talking about cars but theyre really a pain in the ass to own.

hahaha ive seriously considered buying an E-250 like the one in the third pic. i was gonna keep all my sports and biking shit in it. the wife said, "absolutely not"

it's really all relative ...

for example, here in NY even though the transportation system is good ... I can still cover a lot more ground daily by driving. In my line of business, it is saving sometimes 2 hours a day not wasting time commuting on subways/buses ... 2 hours is lost money in time I could be spending working ... times 30 days ... that's 60 hours of work ... which alone more than pays for a great car every month.

i think weird :loco:

i see your point. i do that all the time. ill watch a crappy movie and think, "man, i coulda been at work making x amount of money" then i laugh and realize work is the last place id want to be....ever. for me, driving an average of 5000 miles a year, i would be much better off getting up early and walking the three miles to work and selling my car outright.

oh no leisure time is leisure time ... i just hate wasting time going to and from clients .. when I could be doing other things .. .like working on getting more clients.

my off time ... well, i never second guess myself on that

haha, we have completely different careers. i uderstand where youre coming from though. id do the same thing.

yeah, but I'd rather be in your boat and be close enough to work to walk/ride my bike. Spending 2 1/2 hours of my day sitting on a bus sucks, it also screws me out of a ton of about 3-3.5 hours of sleep a day (depending upon traffic). That much sleep would put me just below the 'minimum reccomended' for people my age.

i usually work only three miles away but sometimes i work up to 25-30 miles away. if im on call, i have to be ready to drive to a hospital 2 counties away if the need arises. unfortunately, with this job, i have to own a car.
