Arghoslent was better the first time around... when they were called like 17 other bands that were better.

They are good, but they aren't original, innovative, or amazing. You know, like Carcass was.

Carcass were definitely influential with their records but I still can't like them as much as Arghoslent. I found alot of Carcass' music very formulistic in structure even when alot of the riffs were great, it got boring because they were repeated too often. Arghoslent seem to put more thought into song structures and seem to have an different sense of melody to most bands.

I think the reason why Arghoslent aren't as influential is because they haven't been around for as long as Carcass and the white power influenced lyrics seem to put most people off. That being said:

Incorrigible Bigortry > Necroticism > Heartwork

I find Heartwork the weakest effort by Carcass next to Swansong.

The middle three Carcass albums >>> Everything Arghoslent have done.

Argholsent were a nice surprise when I first heard them but they're not in the same league as Carcass. Nor will they ever be nearly as important.
