pitts are very very nice and gentle animals if you train them and treat them well. They can be very dangerous if they are trained to fight/mistreated/trained to be extremely aggressive

but that can be said for any big/athletic dog (rottweilers, german sheperds, etc...)

BTW the reason pitbulls are reported to be such horrible beasts is because they are extremely intelligent and easily trained, not to mention incredibly strong, muscular and agile

all of this basically leads to the fact that if you train pitts to be aggressive/fight, they will do that exceedingly well.
