I just got nick caves latest release, nice slipcase format. Nice design. which makes me wonder why in the name of JAYSUS do companies still use those poxy plastic CD cases, they're muck. They break at slightest provocation, they dont even hold the cds in half the time, I cant fucking stand em

At least 70 % of my plastic cases are broken, and most of them don't hold the cd, so they sometimes fall on the ground when opening the case

I thought Mata Leao was one of the few exceptions that have a paper case Anyway, I usually break them cause I travel around with them. I even broke my discman this way.

The reason might be that the production of normal paper cases (and paper itself) are more expensive than plastic. Though it might change sooner than expected, haha.
