CD cleaning

Does anyone know a sure-fire way of removing static from cds?
I find that the wipes you can buy are not always effective.

i find using car polish is the best. it is also good for removing scratches. (just don't use cut and polish)

Ive used Eagle's Mag polish before. Just make sure its the fine abrasive type.

I've heard toothpaste should be good, or maybe that was on sunglasses?
I've also been told that good ole dishwashing stuff should be good to clean cd's in. I've never had static problems with cd's though, but I've had it with records, but it went away when I got a new cleaning brush (I got a "Static-off" by AM).

I got one of those Skip Dr. resurfacing thingies and it works great... only prob is they say you have to run hot water in the wheel thingy after every resurfacing... but i'm a rebel and don't do that all the time

or, you could use the Stormbringer method and when a CD gets scratched, send it to Salzberg to be thrown out a car window onto a highway

I've tried this, also. By Itself AND sandpaper with toothpaste. Neither works.
