i read somewhere that there it is very important to use super high quality cdr when sending out to pro mastering studios and stuff like that or transfering audio files etc. etc...


obviously not talking about like the real cheap cdrs but is there a preffered brand or will specialized "audio" cdrs from the major manufacturers such as sony, maxell, memorex, etc. be fine?

Biiig topic on this before - try searching on this. I think the general consensus is that you just have to find the right combination of writespeed and brand/make of the CD that produces the least errors for your specific drive.

hey dss3 i tried that had a hard time due to the minimum character limit or whatever but anyway i'll keep looking. do you have a link for it by any chance. ive been looking for it for a while can't find it.





sounds like these taiyo yuden are good anyway i may pick up a pack.




on edit found a few threads. looks like i'm gonna try these taiyos out. it seems as if you don't need apogees and stuff and a good brand will do just find. i'm not going for grammys here anyway just wanna have decent cdrs for final mixes and sending to mastering when it gets to that.

+2 on Taiyo Yuden, I use their DVDs more actually.
I haven't had any errors with those or experienced any bit rot (yet)
