Change in 2nd slot bands play-time

I have noticed that this year the 2nd slot bands will only get to play 45 minutes instead of 1 hour. How come?

Might have something to do with the Headliners end time being open ended. Probably to give Rage and SymX 2-2 1/2 hours to play.

FRiday's line up is really strong to Vanden Plas, Nightwish and Sym X back to back to back

I was wondering the same thing myself...anybody know the reason?

The 15 additional minutes gives me a bit more time between the headliner change-overs (which can be an absolute bitch). The show needs to be over at 1:30am.

I will say that all bands know there is a 30 minute allowance for change overs. If a band plugs-in and is ready in 15 minutes, then they get to add that 15 minutes on to their set. You can go on early, but you cannot stay late in other words.
