check out these cool-ass spiny mushrooms i just found

they were growing literally beneath three feet of rocks, like with absolutely zero sunlight. i thought it was a giant grey slug at first and freaked out.

Those are awesome! Where do you usually go to mushroom hunt and do you like preserve them somehow?

In this case, I wasn't really mushroom hunting at all, I was just moving a huge pile of rocks and these happened to be buried within. Usually when i do set out to go shrooming, I just go wherever, because you can find awesome ones literally anywhere. I went in avi's yard once and got yelled at by his neighbor who reminded me of the bus driver on South Park.

my new house is now mostly fungi-free, for better or worse. less scary neighbors though - that's good.
