Check out these pics

I've been drooling over that Hellraiser since I got the new Schecter catalogue. Too bad it's going to cost a hell of a lot more out here. I would be really surprised if the price is going to be less than 1000 € (= 1300$).

Brooks:
They sell for 699 dollars including setup, shipping and lots of other goodies from Drum City Guitar Land. I think that price might even include a hardshell case.

Is there any Shecter's with a floating bridge? Or are all the models strictly fixed-bridge?
Actually there is one I know. It is also cool that it also has Original Floyd Rose instead of licensed ones that import guitars have. Now if it had better pickups than Duncan Designed it would be even nicer, but they have to cut costs somewhere, don't they?

C-1 FR

But as far as I noticed most of their models are TOM or TOM with string-thru.

I like the shape. I have an Agile 28" scale baritone that looks almost identical. Has the recessed knobs, contoured top, TOM string through, Grovers and all...
I was going to buy a Schec 7 string, but I can't get into playing one (neck width bugs me). I have a 7 now (Ibanez)that sits here rotting. So that's why I got a 6 string tuned from B to B.

Ok, the official info is that the price will be $699. The case is *NOT* included, and it's $80 if you want it. If you go through DCGL to get it, they throw in a cheap-o strap, some picks, extra set of strings, and free set-up to your specs. There is a store here in town where I live though, that will sell it to me for $699, INCLUDING CASE, no shipping, since I'm buying it at the store, a DiMarzio Strap-Lok strap, a set of D'Addario strings, I get to pick the gauges, and a free set-up to my specs. You guys should look into your dealers around town, and offer them cash. They usually will easily fold when you have the cash right then.

The info about the price, and everything came from Jason @ DCGL. I was going to e-mail him back and get a number to call him with my credit card info, but then I went to the store here...and well, better deal. Oh well.

Also, to anyone that's interested, I'll be picking it up in two weeks, maybe less. I'll have recordings and pics. Yep.

Actually Music123 doesn't have Hellraiser, only 007 Elite and Blackjack. Hellraiser has a higher list price.

oh wait, that's the blackjack c-7, you meant the hellraiser, right?
Yeah, we were talking about the Hellraiser in this thread. The problem with most of the other Schecter 7s(or any other 7-stringers for that matter) is as Kazrog mentioned before you have to get the guitar rerouted if you decide to get EMGs later. Otherwise all Set-neck Schecters are pretty much same quality, just different shapes, inlays.

I was going to get an Ibanez 7, but they don't make many that I like. Plus they come with passive Ibanez pickups, albeit they are designed with the help of Seymour Duncan (or at least thats the story Ibanez puts out), they still aren't SD pickups, which I would consider more, but they aren't....so yeah. Plus I'm sick of Floyd Rose/FR copy trems. I love TOM w/ string-thru or stop-tail peice setups. Better sustain, better low-end. I do own several guitars with Floyds/FR copy trems though, but I also hardly ever play them. I use to be able to change strings, tune, and lock down the nut in 20 minutes or less, so it wasn't the whole tuning thing, it's just a hassle though when I can change strings and tune a fixed bridge axe in like 5 minutes if I try. Not to mention using alternate tunings. ESP makes some nice 7's, but most of them have to be custom ordered to be what I really want.

I'm glad I waited until now to look into getting another 7-string, or else I would have never found out about Schecter's Hellraiser C7. EMG's, TOM w/ string-thru, mahogany body...exactly what I've been craving. Yep.

Yeah, there is only one other competitor to Hellraiser as far as my opinion goes and that is the Viper-407 that LTD puts out. Mahogany, set-neck, TOM, EMG 81-7 and 707 pickups. But then I kinda think the inlays and the paint are tacky. Hellraiser both looks cool and plays cool I would think as the other 7-stringer Schecters I played were pretty nice considering they were bolt-on even. I would have gotten one of these if I didn't buy 5 other guitars in the last few months. :erk:
