I'll be there.

Tickets sold for quite a bit on ebay.

No, I don't have any additional info. I still don't think it will actually be seated. I've been to shows that had seat numbers on the tickets and didn't have enforced seating in the slightest.

When I purchased my ticket from the HOB.com presale, the online description (looking at it right now too) says "General Admission" - Standing Room. As small as HOB is, I can't see how they would try to make seating for this thing.

i hear you on that one. i think this will be a standing room show....i been going to shows at the house of blues since 1998....i just don't see it happening. if there will be seats, they will probably be fold-up chairs, that will be destroyed instantly....i mean who the hell is gonna be able to contain themselves at a chicago show featuring a 2+ hour opeth show? not happening.

damn it says on the website "SPECIAL: Chronology MCMXCIV - MMV...
2nd - Chicago, House of Blues - Seated - IL (onsaledate 20/1) No support band SOLD OUT"....is it that hard to figure out that its seated and sold out? lol damn chicagoans or whatever you like to call yourselves....(NY PIZZA IS BETTER HAHAHA)

I'm sure by "about that", he was referring to this:

"yes, there's still plenty of tix available, but people wanted to be cool so they purchased $500 ones on ebay instead of ticketmaster."

Because "being cool" is taking pride in spending $475 more than you have to, but even he was being sarcastic in response to Factorplayer. It's a long chain of the obvious, and the lack of noticing it.

i dunno, i read through it again (and again), and it still doesn't seem very obvious to me. anyway, doesn't matter. i can't wait for the show.

After spending a few hours searching, I found tickets from a ticket broker. Cost $72 each, but sure is cheaper than the "raping" ya get from e-bay. If your still looking for a ticket, look at www.ticketspecialists.com.
Yeah!! Opeth, here we come!!!

Damn, no more. I was looking at a bunch of online ticket brokers but couldn't find any.

I am going to the show in Chicago as well. About what time is everyone planning on getting to the House of Blues?

Also, opeth.com noted that the show is for sure seated.

uh oh, that doesn't sound good. you can fit way more people into that place if there isn't seating. i have an extra ticket as of now. i'd feel bad selling it to a diehard fan for $120+...but i dunno, could use the money...we'll see.

don't worry about selling it to a diehard fan for $500... Because I am sure all diehard fans bought their tickets as soon as it came out :D

Prolly rich idiots are spending $250 for a $25 ticket :Spin:
