Chicago Metal Works compilations

I am a huge fan of 80s metal compilations, and while the Chicago Metal Works series wasn't the best, there was some great obscure stuff on those albums. I have volumes 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 but 3 and 4 are impossible to find. I am 99% sure they were only released on cassette and I've found some other info on them, but if anyone here knows more about them I would love to know.

I would also be curious to hear any of your thoughts on the series in general.

I had found an LP Chicago Metalworks Battalion 1 at a local used shop. Picked it up for a friend...would have bought it for myself but not for the $40 price. Here's the info:

$40 is a bargain for either of the first 2 LPs.
