Lately I've been loving classic (second wave) black metal, and I want to find more bands that have the classic, super low fidelity, raw, sloppy sound. Albums that exemplify this are A Blaze In The Northern Sky, Under A Funeral Moon, Transilvanian Hunger all by Darkthrone, Pure Holocaust by Immortal, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas by Mayhem (though I prefer black scream vocals), Drawing Down The Moon by Beherit, Pentagram and Antichrist by Gorgoroth and Nightwing by Marduk. I can't really find any black metal to my liking that has been made in the past decade or so because it all sounds so damn overproduced and has totally lost the spirit of the early 90s black metal. Any current bands that have the classic sound are welcome suggestions, as are classic bands with the classic sound. Thanks!
