Give the guy come credit, anything he does will sound like Priest because he was Priest for so long. But in my opinion he needs to move away from Ripper as the singer, not just because I hate Ripper but because Ripper has always tried to copy Rob. That said it's only a snippet so it's impossible to judge the whole album.

Getting a head start on the complaining is a positive thing for some people
The worst thing he can do now is let Ripper make all the complaints. If Ripper comes out with comments like "he's not being treated fairly", or "people hate the album because they sided with Priest", or even worse, "Priest started the bad press because they don't want him successful just like they deleted my records from their catalogue" there is no coming back.

Yeah it's what KK is known for and really nothing more. The album might well be worth a listen but KK is not going to sound any different to what he sounded like for 40 years.

So the new song is available and there is zero surprises. It was always going to be difficult to sound different to JP with Ripper singing and KK writing the music but it appears they didn't even try. Hellfire Thunderbolt is also a stupid name, but I guess that's more an opinion than actual fact, some might think it's a great name. He should have named the band Hellfire Thunderbolt instead of making it sound like a white hooded priest. Also what's with the KK logo on the jackets, was he trying to replicate the swastika without being racist?



I guess it's easy to be critical of KK but it really does feel like he's just going through the paces rather than anything else.

As far as a heavy metal song goes it ticks all the boxes and the guy can't spent 40 years making music for one band then suddenly sound completely different, to be honest I reckon if he had it would have sounded crap(pier). So as far as KK goes this is pretty much what I expected. But because I hate Ripper's singing (for the majority of his career) that makes it all the harder to listen too, it also makes it sound just like a cover band. I'd love to hear KK without the obvious Rob clone.

Yeah I think KK's proven he's no better than he was when he left JP, he might not have lost anything but he definitely hasn't gained anything. Considering he also made a big deal about Binks being in the band only to now have him 'appearing at some live shows' I think he's also going to loose some of that die hard JP appeal. There will be people who love him for what he does but I doubt he's going to win too many new fans.

I do find it strange that Ripper has more people against him and for way more reasons than Thom Hazzert but like KK he does have a small collection of die hard fans.

I watched all of Devy, damn that place where the studio/house is looks like an amazing place. I have no idea how he listens through those cans while wearing a beanie either. Typically though it's a good livestream.

In other news I was reading MA forum today and some dude reckons KK translates to shit or asshole. No idea if there is and truth to it, especially since the dude didn't say what language he was quoting, but I guess no one really needs facts. Shit Priest does kind of fit given the first song
