Classics Reborn

Man the guy doesn't give up. I understand that the interviewers keep dragging this shit up but for fucks sake dude take the fucking high ground and shut the fuck up! I'd hate to see what KK is like if he didn't claim to like and respect his former band mates so much. The guy really is acting like an entitled prat I'm starting to wonder if he's trying to write himself out of an invite to the 50th anniversary stuff next year just so he can cry a bit louder.

It's gotten to the point that when I see KK I immediately role my eyes. I mean, down to the nitty gritty. You quit, you lost a shitload of money, you talk shit. Whatever anyone else says. that's basically it. And he continues to talk shit and then back peddle with a compliment immediately followed by some negativity and then praise for himself. Rinse repeat. He's said many times he probably wouldn't even have said yes! That means no! If you really want to do something you say yes. What I think he means is. If the money was right.

I find it funny that he thinks this is the publicity he needs to sell his book. I know controversy sells but he's just making himself look like shit and no one but the die hard KK fans are sticking up for him. It's those sort of people he doesn't need to sell his book too because they'll be first in line to buy it. Band fights have been going on forever and some of them have been classic fights but this really has only blown up since his golf course went bang and Glen got sick. At best it's bad taste and disrespect for a guy he calls his mate. At worst it's money driven jealousy that he can't admit.

Yeah you're absolutely right. He's not exactly endearing himself to the other people that might buy his book. I think it's kind of despicable that he went through channels to pass a message to Glen. That's the type of thing you just swallow whatever it is and call. And he's brought up all these reasons why he left. The energy, the performance. Non democracy. Ego. But nothing about what's changed for him to come back....except he's down a ton of money now. And I get the feeling if he did come back that he thinks the band should retire. Priest seems to want to keep going. So he'd come back just to leave?...Unless the money was right lol

Really for every question why another question pops up. As you say he brings up these reason why he left, but with each of them you'd have to ask why he would want to put himself back into that since he also claims nothing has changed.

I really wonder how long he'd give the job if he did take it. I honestly can't see him giving it his all with the resentment he has. Even if he came back just for the money, got his spot back and forced either Faulkner or Sneap into Glen's role and got pampered like he wants to be I struggle to see him being little more than a robot just cashing his cheque, which would be substantially less than it used to be.

KK might have once been a legend but I wonder if Scott Ian is feeling less than cheerful about his name on the back cover recommending the book :)

Exactly. I think he wants the money. I think he wants to be remembered. I also think he wants to sell a book. But I don't see him wanting to play into the future. Where everything the band are currently saying suggests they aren't considering hanging up their hats any time soon.

Haha, that is kind of funny, and true. Think his spoken words tour starts here next week. Haven't heard a word about it. Haven't seen any ads. Don't know anyone who is going. Wonder if there is going to be any publicity.

Now if he made a decent minigolf course (and put in down the road from me) I'd give him some money. I love mini golf!

He could well be. I'd be interested to see what the ticket sales have been like but the data doesn't appear to be available. I'm not sure Bruce's tour is any more popular either and Dee Snider has a gigs and spoken word shows booked for February so it appears that spoken word shows are popular enough to book. Back when Rollins started doing them he used to sell 4000 tickets, some how I don't think even Bruce will sell that many.

I hope you don't want a credit for the name, KK's not going to like paying for it, but he will provide the whine for free :) He could make it a themed mini golf, each hole could be a JP album theme.

Last I heard it was $70ish I think for the show and $140 for the kiss his arse after show. Looks like there is plenty of tickets left but the venues are pretty small.

Bruce is not until next month and he's $100 a ticket, but he's at a theatre. Dee Snider is $79 (show or talk) and $199 VIP

I like how he blamed the drummer now lol

Is that $70ish plus the $140?

Anyone but him, anyone but him!!

No the $140 (which may need US conversation) was payable only via his website not through the usual ticket mob so I assume it's a one off fee.

Good god. "And there is just the odd guy in the world who wants a level playing field, everything democratic, everyone's equal " First of all the ego on this guy. Saint KK. Secondly, he's not going to say anything. He's gonna quit and hope they all see how great he is. And when they don't come begging for him..cause he quit. He's going to talk endless shit about the entire band. While still playing Prince Valiant.
