Clean guitar/indy song(real drums) need advise

Mixing my friends latest EP. I need advise/ a second opinion as I have listened to it too much and lost all objectivity. Let me know what you think.

that kickdrum is way too big, and the bass too small. "whoom" ... wait ... "whoom" ...
The bassline actually is pretty cool and serves the song, no need to bury it

I´d go for a less percussive overall sound and bring up the more ambient sounds a bit

Thanks man, I made these changes and also lowered the snare,it instantly sounded fuller.
