Anyone here remember Wrathchild America? For some reason I put CTW on yesterday and forgot how much I love that CD. A definite favorite from back in the day. I was lucky enough to see them open on the WA/Annihilator/Testament-Practice What you Preach tour.

Oh man, you're taking me back. I saw that same tour in Charlotte, NC. Great show.
And great band. Saw them many times over the years, and once I think when they changed their name to Souls At Zero.

Good call---I think I'll listen to Climbin' The Walls right now. That cover of Pink Floyd's "Time" was always cool IMO.

Oh man, I totally dug Climbin The Walls and 3-D back in high school. I liked Souls at Zero when the 1st CD came out. Didn't follow them after that. I listened to it again recently but it didn't do it for me like it used to.

I'm going to have to pop in Climbin The Walls when I get home.

Love Wrathchild America!!!

Was fortunate to see them with Armored Saint on the 3D/Symbol Of Salvation tours in Knoxville. Hardly anyone was at the show, but both bands kicked major ass! One of my favorite concerts of all-time! :kickass:

Excellent stuff which brings back some great memories. I also saw them on tour with Annihilator and Testament at a small venue in Allentown, PA called airport road music hall. They used to have tons of great shows back in the day.....

Almost didn't realize it was the same band (they were always just Wrathchild growing up in DC/MD area). I guess when they got signed there was the whole thing with teh glam band in UK so they had to tag America onto the end of their name. CTW came out the year I moved from DC to Gunnison, Colorado (population 3) for college. I walked into a record store, flipped through the metal section fo cds and saw something that said Wratchchild on it - but wasn't sure it was them til I flipped it over and saw pics of all the guys from the old Wrathchild house.

There is some amazing stuff on the first couple albums, some of the Souls At Zero stuff was ok, but i didn't really like the direction change. Most of the guys are still active, playing around, producing, Shannon of course, playing with Godsmack (where his talents can never be fully utilized) is probably the most successful overall. Great guys, great band, and glad someone brought them up. I was just bouncing around the room to 3D cd the other day when i just found it under a stack of other cds. Only way I can really clean house (single guy, 5 br house, and not the most organized person in the world lol) is to block out all potential distractions with something high energy and loud :) That one definitely filled the bill.

Living in the DC area, I saw them more times than I can remember.. with Pantera, Wargasam, Kix, etc. I remember them doing a cover of Comfortably Numb which they debuted at an all ages anti-drinking show at a local community college :kickass:

They were a great band that could have broken a lot bigger if not for all the legal holdups on the first disc...

Living in the DC area, I saw them plenty of times that I can't remember. :kickass:

Seriously though, they were a great bunch of guys and always put on a kickass live show. I do have quite a few great memories (mostly non-show related). Miss those days.

Gonna have to revisit a few cds, I think...thanks for the reminder!
