I find it quite funny that Esa Holopainen wonders why people come to ask picks from him at the bar. I think better question would be why guitarist even take picks with them when they go to the bar....

that's exactly what i thought when reading it... it's like it's an important thing to carry on everytime they go out, such as an ID or some important medecines. lol. i would never ask that to a guitarist that doesnt have his guitar near him.As a guitarist myself, I'll say that it is a handy thing to have picks in your wallet 'cause you carry it around most of the time. For me it means atleast I got something in my wallet.

Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom) – Ozzy Osbourne (s.1943)
I have to admit that Ozzy Osbourne is one of my biggest heroes. Nowadays Ozzy is trendy character but I don’t dig him because of that. I have been fan so fucking long, even though I started to dig him later than WASP and Metallica and such. I knew Black Sabbath but I never thought of that guy.
At the age of 13 I was at the Oulunkylä and I was going to play Crazy Train. I bought Ozzy’s live album. That was first my first touch to Randy Rhoads as a guitarist. I liked that music a lot. Since then I have been digging Ozzy and also Jake E. Lee and Zakk Wylde. Ozzy always has the best guitarists. They haven’t been only good guitar players but also important characters in their own way.
When thinking what Ozzy has been doing during his life it’s miracle that his even alive anymore. Even he talks weirdly he is still clever and his sense of humor is insane
I have all kinds of Ozzy stuff at home. These fucking candle holders where Ozzy’s hand is holding the candle. I also have Ozzy mirror and shakable snow ball where there is Ozzy instead of Father Christmas. I found this one shop from Savannah Georgia that has a separate Ozzy section. I bought shitloads of stuff from there. I still would like to have big Bark At The Moon doll where Ozzy has transformed to man wolf. When you press it starts to bark.

Children of Bodom guitarist Alexi Laiho promised 12 years ago that he won’t drink gin ever again and he has kept his promise.
Last time Alexi drank gin was at age of 16. Friend’s parents were at winter holiday so he held a party. There was a bottle of gin in the drink cupboard.
- We drank it straight. I hadn’t drunk that much straight booze back then so I couldn’t handle it as well as now days. Alexi explains.
He remembers getting back to home somehow in the middle of the nigh.
- I woke up after a while when my mom was trying to wake me up. I was laying in my own puke, I didn’t even get to the shower on my own.
After changing clothes and sheets Alexi continued sleeping until same thing happened again. Mom came back to wake up his dirty son. And same thing was done also third time.
- Mom stayed up almost all night cleaning me and my bed again and again. In the morning she just said that as you probably noticed its not good idea to drink that kind of booze. I haven’t touched gin after that, I can’t even smell it without feeling sick.
- Embarrassing story but because of that I don’t drink gin. Alexi says.
