Coma Of Loss new song, raw mix

I've updated the clip, minor tweaks here and there.

I added some thunder sound effects too. (Not very original, I know. But they fit the lyrics of the song perfectly).

Hey man, the song is...interesting, the beginning reminds me of Opeth's "In my Time of Need" (and Damnation in general) but with more wackiness a la Mars Volta, and then gets, well, a little screamo sounding (though I guess that's mostly the singer). As for the mix I really like the kick, and the ethereal lead guitar is cool too. I guess the only things I'd change are the snare volume; it seems like it needs more compression (and make-up gain), cuz sometimes it's a nice volume, but other times it's too soft; and the strummed/arpeggiated clean guitar that comes in at the end of the ethereal-lead part (before the screamo part) seems really dry, like it could use some verb/delay. And I actually really like the thunder sound effects. :)

Oh, and is the amp you used for the distorted parts a Rectifier? Cuz in the end, when things really start crankin' up, it sure sounds like one.

Thanks for taking the time, glad you like it. I'll have to fix the snare and put some delay on the clean guitars.

The amp I used for the rhythm at the end is a Framus Cobra, all the leads and cleans were recorded with it too. The rhythm guitars at the beginning of the song are half Cobra and half PodX3.

Mix update: I added some more compression to the snare, some delay to the clean guitars and removed some of the thunder effects.

We also recorded the vocals for the 1:00-2:00 part and re-recorded some vocals from 5:55 onwards.
