yeah, usually stuff like this is annoying/gay/stupid. The Austrian Death Machine stuff is an amazing concept, but unfortunately sounded pretty much exactly how I would imagine it would sound, no moar modern fringe metal stuff plz, kthnx.

As a credit to Austrian Death Machine, 'I Am A Cybernetic Organism, Living Tissue Over Metal Endoskeleton' is actually a good song, very little in the core department except for the vocals, and better than any As I Lay Dying song.

Funny you should say that, because Manowar were kinda the first thing that came to mind. I'm not saying all their stuff is a joke, but they definitely aren't serious. I'm not just talking about stuff like Pleasure Slave or The Warrior's Prayer, either. Achilles, Agony and Exstacy in 8 Parts is so overblown and ridiculous that it's hard not to laugh (4 minute out-of-tune bass solos?), and if you can listen to the last 2 minutes of Kingdom Come without giggling I'm impressed.

There's kind of a gray area in gore lyrics between gore lyrics and lyrics that parody gore lyrics. But Goratory - Orgasm Induced Diarrhea is definitely parody, but the music is really good.
Tenacious D don't produce much music, but listening to the first album once was moderately entertaining.
Municipal Waste are comedy. I think they're okay.
