Computer genius needed!

Hey

I received my new iMac yesterday, I used Migration Assistant everything went smooth. I updated my shits (drivers included) then repaired disk permissions. I launched PT10.3.7 it was ok. But I had a few issues outside of PT...

I wanted to listen to some music in VLC and no sound. VLC crashed then I tried in iTunes. Same story. System Preference crashes as well. No always but I have to wait for a long minute before the computer works fine again. It seems to be slow. Too slow for such a beast (and new!)

I posted on Avid and Apple support forums and I think there are some computer geniuses here Someone has an idea of what's wrong?

Actually the Avid Core Audio Manager does not auto-launch with VLC, iTunes, etc... I tried to change the prefs but it still doesn't work properly. Maybe I have to uninstall PT then reinstall it???
