Hey there.

I've used a pair of AKG-271 headphones for my recording and mixing for almost a year now. I've gotten mostly good results, but sometimes I miss having some proper speakers for reference. (besides my computer speakers)
My budget is pretty limited at the moment and will be for the forseeable future.
For now I'm just doing this as a hobby, so I'm looking for the best bang for the buck.

I've read various reviews and threads on other forums about these. Some say that they are somewhat similar to the NS10Ms, hyping the upper mids to reveal all the ugly stuff that can be going on in a mix.
The overall consensus seem to be, that if it sounds good on the HS50s, it'll sound good on most other systems as well, which is what I am looking for.
In the future I would be able to get the matching sub if need be.

Does anyone have experience with these? Perhaps there are others in the same price range that I should look at?
My budget is around the price of the HS50Ms.

Thanks in advance for any help on the matter.

I'm In Europe, more specificly Denmark, and I Will be able to get a 30 day money back guarantee if I jump the gun. Trying to save myself a lot of hassle by asking here first though.

I have a pair and I think they have a very cool midrange but they lack sooooooooo much bass, I find that im always raising lows until i listen in the car, really hard to mix low stuff on those... and the yamaha sub is expensive as fuck. If I were you I would save some cash and go for adam stuff, been reading a lot of good reviews :)
