Is it just as easy as unscrewing the speakers, pulling 'em out, and screwing 'em on from the back? My old Mesa 2x12 is front-mounted, and I find it to be too boxy and harsh compared to my Stiletto 4x12 (obviously there are more differences between the two than speaker mounting, but they are V30s in the 2x12, so I figure it's worth a shot)

Just try it out and if you don't like it you can always put it back the other way :)

Well, the t-nuts in the baffle might have to be reversed, not sure. Otherwise you would have the metal edge of the speaker frame against the metal t-nut. It might come loose or have unwanted vibrations. That is, if Mesa uses the t-nuts. (pronged spikey, round threaded thingamabobs...lol). If anything you will have to move them to the front and insert with a rubber mallet or something.

This is just a guess based on how I've seen other cabs constructed.

I've seen front-mounted cabs that don't look like they can be opened up without hacking one side apart. I guess they assume you'll just pop out a speaker if you need to get at the insides. But if you don't have one of those, go for it.

You may have to use a razor blade to slice around them if they were mounted with a sticky gasket.

Right, makes sense - both the front and back of my cab are removable, so it looks easy enough, gonna try it soon! Thanks dudes!
