Cool review for the Devin Townsend Band.

I just read Papa Josh's review on The Devin Townsend Band's first release "Accelerated Evolution" here at Royal Carnage. I think it was a pretty accurate review of the album. How P.J. described the tunes was in good detail, I would have loved to hear what he thought of the new lineup and if it was a good transaction from the SYL guy's doing the solo stuff as apposed to the new guy's doing it. I think the new lineup did a rad job and I would have to say that AE would be my 2nd favourite Devy album with Ocean Machine being #1.

Thanks for the response! Yeah, it is a great album. And on your insights about the new guys vs. SYL guys doing the album, I think you are absolutely right. Their styles area bit different and lend a bit to Devin's more spacey/poppy/mellow vibe..

Whereas the other guys completely slay with SYL.

Again, I totally agree with you P.J. The members for SYL are perfect while I feel the same way about the members in DTB (perfect for DTB). Devy certainly knows how to choose them !
