Coronavirus cases and deaths among UM members

I kind of did forget tbh. Either way, the point stands, I really believe he needs to be less moronic in regards to Covid.

I was forced to report back to school/work a few weeks ago. Most of the teachers/adults aren't taking mask wearing seriously. The principal goes as far as to take her mask off during meetings and she told us we can take our masks off in the classroom with students as long as we stay 6 feet away. I have been calling out sick on days when students aren't on campus because I am not ready to spend hours in a room full of adults who aren't taking this seriously. Maybe I am the crazy one?

I seriously think I had Corona virus before it was labeled as a thing

Still went ahead and got the vaccine anyway

late fucking reply but I decided to get the vaccine. It’s free and my work gives you two additional vacation days for the day after the first shot and the day after the second. Going Thursday.
nice, my shitty bank only gave two 4 hr pto sessions. second shot hit me for a couple days, that was annoying

Got the first vaccine yesterday. Nothing but a sore arm currently. I expect the second vaccine to hit me like a fucking truck when I get it.

In this country we are going backwards with vax shots. Between the Prime Minster blaming the EU for short changing us doses, The EU claiming their shit don't stink and the banning of AZ for under 50's the system is fucked. The media had been making a huge mockery of the system up to last week, reporting the worst they could and cherry picking shit to make things sound dire, now they don't have to, it's fucked up all on it's own.

Lucky we have this shit as under control as we do or we'd be fucked.

A bunch of people i know have tested "positive" and had basically nothing more than regular cold and were better a week or two later. Most recently my mom tested "positive" for it. Basically had cold symptoms and was better about a week later. One of my friends tested positive at one place, tested negative at another. He was sick for about a week too and the only thing he complained about was loss of taste for a bit(which btw happens with the regular cold too via nasal congested). Another person i know tested "positive" a week after getting her "vaccines". Ive been out and about since this whole fiasco started and ive been fine. 100% not touching that vaccine.

I got the vaccine early in January and have never tested positive nor been sick. I’m 100% healthy. not sure why people are paranoid about a vaccine when they had all kinds of vaccines when they were kids

even if it’s no worse than the flu for healthy people, you never had a flu vaccine? I’d rather get a vaccine than be sick for a week or two with possibility of worse. I know someone who had covid and still didn’t get their sense of taste back after 3 months, no thx to that

also the vaccine trial was 40,000 people, 95% effective, still 92% effective after 6 months. That speaks for itself

All 2500 of us on these islands have had the first vaccine, everyone on my island (180) EXCEPT our fucking health and safety officer, who is a first responder and fireman. He's refused it 3 times for him and his family. Totally weird. They are paranoid as all fuck tho, thought Isis was gonna get them and have not been to the mainland for over a decade.

Isis? It's Bill Gate's chip in the vax that I'm worried about, not Isis. When the chips start communicating with all the 5G towers those people not smart enough to think for themselves, not smart enough to refuse the vax, are all going to be under Bill control. It will be like the movie Tommy only they wont be led to a pinball machine it will be a Win10 box with a crashing hard drive and no memory.

My older brother and nephew both tested positive last year. My brother had zero symptoms and felt fine. My nephew lost his sense of taste for about a week.

A guy I knew in high school ended up on a ventilator in Atlanta after testing positive but I dunno if he had any pre-existing conditions that made it worse for him. He pulled through and had to go through a couple of months worth of breathing therapy.

Anyway, I got the first round of vaccine a couple of weeks ago. My wife is pregnant and I don’t want to bring that shit around her. She isn’t getting it on recommendation from her doctor.

I don't know anybody who caught it in NZ or Australia. I do know some guys who caught it on tour in NY, early on enough that they could just isolate at home when they got back to NZ instead of being quarantined in a hotel. One of them joked that they couldn't tell if it gave them a lasting effect of feeling run down, or if that's just because they're getting older and fatter.

I also know someone who lost their elderly mother to it in Switzerland. Relatives of my brother-in-law. The family was able to crowd around the hospital bed and all catch it from her! Can't imagine them allowing that here.

In both instances it sounded like it was nastier than the average flu for some of them, and more like a mild cold for others.

You need to volunteer at a "hospital", might change your "perspective."

oh okay.

btw, the person who caught it after being vaccinated is one of the top nurses at one of the busiest hospitals we have out here (Huntington Hospital). She said she wouldnt have gotten the vaccine either if her job didnt make it mandatory. I'd take perspective thats grounded in reality over perspective thats based off fear and spoon-fed bullshit any day.

and btw my mom had pre existing conditions and was supposed to be one the "at risk" people. She's perfectly fine now, as is just about every other person i know who has tested "positive"
