Cosmic Genesis vs. Empiricism

That's a hard decision for me. I love Cosmic Genesis and Empiricism about the same. I have been a fan of Vintersorg and Borknagar for quite some time, so to have Vintersorg pick up vocals in Borknagar to me is just absolutely amazing.
:)

CG. No doubt about it. Just because "the man" sings for them does not meen it is comparable (IMHO) I like Empiricism very much tho, just not as _great_ as CG...

Agree. For reasons yet unknown, I lost some interest in Borkis
after The Archaic Course.. happens

Same goes for me as it did for Phyros and Nomad. I love both CDs, but Cosmic Genesis goes with me, and explains me deeper than Empiricism.

ill join the club, Vintersorg fits better in his own music than Borknagar, while I love Empiricism, Vintersorg just has that certain something no other band really has...few bands at least

I like the way Morgana put it. Both albums have their own special spirit, which gains equal respect. But me being a huge Borknagar fan, I think I have to go with Empiricism, as it has become an all time favorite of mine.

I haven't listened much to CG so I'll go with Empiricism.
Though they should not be compared, cause they are
so different. Vintersorg is one thing, and Borknagar...
Well.... >:eek:P Man, this reminds me, I miss Simen! Hehe...

I need to listen more to CG but not until I have it in my
record collection! It will fit nice for my bussride to/from
work )

borknagar is my favorite band, and vintersorg my favorite vocalist. having vintersorg join borknagar is just a superb bonus for me, and i cannot draw explicit conclusions between the man's solo work and his contributions to borknagar...
they're equally artistic and emotive, and the albums coincide in terms of talent.
i don't miss simen as much as i thought i might, his work on PEM is, i believe, the highlight of that album.
what i'd love to hear is vintersorg performing tracks from the previous borknagar albums.
vintersorg is an incredible force independent of borknagar, and borknagar has achieved an awe inspiring sound incomparable to any other with his efforts.

Damn... I really really need to listen more to Empiricism. It's cool,
but I just put it away after a short while...

Kick my ass... anyone?? :erk:
