For some reason I keep getting CPU overload errors randomly while playing stuff back, but my system usage in Pro Tools is only showing like 20% CPU being used. My actual activity monitor shows Pro Tools using 75% of my CPU, but that's only on one processor as far as I know? Any tips on how to improve performance here? I am mixing at 512, I suppose I could go higher...

It's a 2009 Macbook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53ghz with 4gb of ram. Shouldn't really be having this much trouble with what I'm throwing at it I don't think... I've got like 12-13 instances of apTrigga triggering MIDI tracks for my drums which I'm assuming is the worst hit. Aside from that I've got 2 reverbs, a clipper, 2 compressors, 3 instances of Tapehead and a handful of EQs.

put the playback buffer higher.
try dropping down rtas processers to 1 processer.
try freezing the V.I's as they eat the ram.
