PORCUPINE TREE and CRADLE OF FILTH

Preston is about to cause some controversy as metal hits home with a very large bang.

Gothic metallers CRADLE OF FILTH have warned us that they are louder, heavier, faster and darker than ever before.

They make a glamorous appearance on the 17th April at 53 Degrees.

With inspiration taken from literature and black metal, their melodies are juxtaposed against a backdrop of heavy bass lines and passionately thrashing guitars. This equates to an exhilarating yet venomous sound that will have you crying out for more.

Renowned for putting on an ambitious stage show, this band of seven have previously treated the audience to trapeze artists, fire twirlers and props that catches the eye and the imagination.

They will definitely be pulling out all the stops at this concert as they are only playing two dates in the North West.

CRADLE OF FILTH’S seventh studio album was released last summer.

Known for their epic releases, PORCUPINE TREE are coming to the city on the 20th April to tour their ninth studio album “Fear of a Blank Planet”.

Preston’s 53 Degrees is the only venue in the North West to host PORCUPINE TREE during this tour.

The band say the album is “…a starkly beautiful elegy on the numbness, apathy and isolation brought about by a 21st century cocktail of television, sex, prescription drugs, video games, the internet, technical boredom, and subsequent escape.”

We have been told to expect a concert of epic proportions, with the album being performed in full in all its dark ambient metal glory.

With metal guitars, synthesizers, strings, heavy bass lines and drumming to make your heart thump along in time.
