Cradle Of Filth News

I friggin love Cradle, I only got into them after Godspeed but I love all their albums - Godspeeds probably my fave. As for Dimmu, I'm pretty fuckin worried about whats happened with Mustis and Vortex - what the fuck are they going to do?

I really need help understanding why these guys have a following. I hate the music and the vocals. There is nothing I can appreciate of it and thats rare.

They've obviously had an impact or you wouldn't be posting about them. I hate country music, but i get around it by not listening to it. Just cos you don't like it don't mean its without merit.:puke:

Damnation and a day i actually found very good and interesting.
Id say theyve managed a very good "atmosphere" or whatever in the album lol.

Otherwise grown very tired of them allthough i liked some other stuff by them in the past aswell. Have not even bothered with the last few albums.

Last month's re-release of the pre-"Principle.." tapes, "Total Fucking Darkness" is a really interesting listen. More interesting than satisfying, perhaps, but nevertheless.

As much as I'd like to still be a dead sworn fan, I must admit that to me, the golden years of CoF lie in the era from "Vempire.." to "Midian". The Total Fucking Darkness release is a nostalgic treasure in one way, but at the same time, it's hard to hear or find any of the things that I used to love about COF...
