Latley, I've had a huge thing for this song. At first I just had it stuck in my head at work, but I've listened to it almost 7 times today. It's just like last week with the Leper Affinity.

In my opinion, this track has some of Mike's most beautiful vocal work (I'de say some of my favorite clean vocals are from Masters Apprentices or Ghost of Perdition), and the music itself is great as well. Anyone else have an opinion on this song?

My fav at the moment as well! ive been listening to it constantly for days. Singing it to myself on my way home, as I go to sleep, etc, etc. Actually, im going to listen to it NOW!

That is my least favortie clean track. "And they all turned away, unable to face more of this death." Some parts are too monotone.

Acctually, this IS my least favorite Opeth song.

I pretty much had that with every Opeth song. Right now it's Dae Pecuniae by PoS.

That happened to me when I was getting into Opeth

I would be obsessed with one song for a few days then it would change

Off the top of my head: Deliverance, By the Pain I See In Others, Masters Apprentices, The Leper Affinity, Credence, The Amen Corner, Nectar, To Bid You Farewell, entire Damnation album etc... - you get the picture :p

Songs I have always been obsessed with:

THE MOOR
BLEAK
DEMON OF THE FALL
BENIGHTED
BLACK ROSE IMMORTAL
THE TWILIGHT IS MY ROBE

this track is sadly too underrated. from all the mellow Opeth songs this is clearly my favourite and it fits ferfectly into the flawless flow of MAYH! it's strange that a lot of the people out there dont't seem to grasp the superiority of this jewel...

It's the only Opeth track ever where you hear Mike and his nasal voice in full force!

I think it´s a great track... it suites their sound more than damnation songs...like mikael said, damnation was a way to come closer those bands he´s always loved and been inspired by... but credence has this sound that you wont find anywhere else than on a opeth record
