This is my favorite song off MAYH and the first real ballad that Mikael wrote. To Bid You Farewell was too long to be considered a real ballad, just listen at the intro! This song really has something special about it, shame it doesn't last longer. I can only hope and wish that they are gonna perform it in Trondheim...

I agree. It's been one of my all time Opeth favorites since I heard it. It reminds me of "Blood and Tears" by Danzig. I guess the chord progression is similar (or the key is B minor or something). Also, the drums sound so crisp for a low-end Tama Swingstar or whatever it was recorded on.

Lol, he did sound a bit like he had a cold. He sounds like that on the entire album IMO. But I like it.
