Cryptic writings toms

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I love the way those toms sound for that particular type of music. They wouldn't work for every type of metal album, but to my ears they sound amazing. I like the drums on that mix in general, but I think it's the toms that really stand out. Sounds like a lot of the mids are sucked out and there's a fair amount of highs and some nice low end without sounding woofy. But the attack on those toms are perfect, not too clicky or clacky with just the right amount of brightness. Anyone know how to get that type of sound, especially on the beginning of that song 'Trust'?

Good call. LOVE the drum sound on that record. No idea what they did to get it though, aside from record some really good sounding toms....
