CRYPTOPSY Parts Ways With Singer LORD WORM, Seeks Replacement - Apr. 23, 2007

Guitarist Alex Auburn of the Canadian death metallers CRYPTOPSY has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the band has once again parted ways with singer Lord Worm (a.k.a. Dan Greening). No reason was given for Lord Worm's departure, but according to Auburn, this time the vocalist was "kicked out" of the band and didn't leave of his own accord.

CRYPTOPSY is currently looking to audition candidates to fill the positions of singer/frontman and keyboardist/samplist. Vocalists must be able to sing in clean voice, on pitch, and also be able to scream/growl. If you are motivated and would like to try out, e-mail the band at crymusic@hotmail.com. If you have a criminal record, don't bother auditioning, as this means you can't tour.

I can't see Cryptopsy's next album being any good with keyboards and clean vocals.

Call me ignorant/narrow minded or whatever, but I just can't see those 2 thing attributing to Cryptopsy in a positive matter.

There were keys and clean vocals in Once Was Not, and thats a great album.

i agree. Lord Worm was a great vocalist for their type of music and they kicked ass live 2 weeks ago. I think its a big mistake

Yeah this is sad. Though just cause they want a guy who can do cleans doesn't mean they'll necessarily use them. However Lord Worm owns.

Lord Worm gets a big wtf from me. Whoever comes in will have to at least bring Cryptopsy some spice. They need to keep the brutality original, and clean vocals would add a nice touch I think, same with sampling.

Seeing Lord Worm butcher "Cold Hate, Warm Blood"at the Fun Haus show was...absolutely horrendous
