yeaaaaah, i'm going to see CRYPTOPSY tomorrow! has anybody seen them live already? if so, how are they? or is anyone else going to see them live? anyway, I'm really looking forwart to it :D

Tell us all about the gig when you get back!
I wanna know if its true that Martin can sound like Lord Worm!!!

I'll be seeing them next month by the way!

yeah sure, in about 12 hours I'll be at the show, I'll tell you tomorrow how it was! I'm sure it's going to be great... I hope that they play "Cold Hate, Warm Blood", they MUST play this song, it's such a killer!!

I saw them when they played with DIMMU BORGIR in San Fransisco.. They rocked!
I was in the mosh pit for about five minutes and I got my ass kicked! You'll have a great time, mate.

How did Martin sound?

I saw them live and they honestly blew everything away. Due to the average sound, however, it was hard to tell how their new singer fits into their sound. Cryptopsy are the fastest, most devastating blizzard you ever saw!!! no shit - I mean Krisiun, Hate Eternal etc. they are "fast" too, but Cryptopsy combine speed and sheer brutality in the most amazing ways (at least live)

This isnt the first time I heard that Cryptopsy has a crappy sound live...How hard could it be? :erk:

i saw them last year, the first gig with the new singer EVER i think, its was at the underworld in london, and he fucking rocks :D it was with Vader and Dying Fetus. what can i say, they were great, thats all.

Noone will ever compare to the sheer brutallity of Di Salvo.
He was King, he made the bands image, and i agree with BubsyReds, him leaving the band killed the whole Cryptopsy image.

Uuum, what image?

Umm.... Lord Worm was the first singer (and my favorite death metal singer) on the records Blasphemy Made Flesh and None So Vile (one of the most brutal, violent records ever). di salvo came on after Lord Worm left - he appeared on Whisper Supremacy (only ok) and ...And Then You'll Beg ( :puke: ). Now they're on their third singer.

Lord Worm was a fucking brilliant vocallist and lyricist. The records without him had the same killer musicianship from the rest of the band (Flo = drum god), but were utterly without the soul of the first two.

here I am again, much too late though! but it was AWESOME, one of the best gigs of my whole life! CRYPTOPSY were so great! I was in the moshpit and got my ass kicked :D I can't agree that they have a crappy sound live, at least here it was very good, very tight! and the new singer was good too in my opinion.
