Crystal Eyes?

Anyone heard them yet? Is there an album? I read where former Lost Horizon vocalist, Daniel Heiman, joined the band, But I can't find anything on them. Help is greatly appreciated.

Also, it's time for Lost Horizon to get of their ass and get new member so they can get back to rocking!

There are four albums. Are you referring to the one Daniel was on? That's the only one of theirs I haven't heard; I'm not much of a fan of his.

IMO, their debut, World of Black and Silver, is their best, but it has rather crappy production.

I Love Daniel's voice! He made Lost Horizon! The Crystal Eyes CD he was on was pretty good, not as good as the first Lost Horizon CD, but if you're a fan of Daniel's it's definitely worth getting.

There are actually like 6 Crystal Eyes disc....almost like 3 small era's of sound

The early stuff is more raw with rougher Kai Hansen style vocals.

Then the disc with Daniel singing.

Then the current line up (though the singer just left to join Artillery and the original guitarist is now singing again.). Which to me is the best. Great vocals and catchy as hell song writting. I cant recommend this enough.

Dead City Dreaming is one of my favorite disc of all time actually.

Crystal Eyes for PP XII! I picked up Chained at the last Prog Power and have been really enjoying it. Lyrics are a bit on the cheesy side, but that's not a bad thing. "Ride the Rainbow" and "Lonely Ball of Fate" are two of my favorites off that album.

I agree 100%. Someone needs to start a new thread called "What's The Latest News on Daniel Heiman?" because he is way too talented to just sit dormant and not release CD's every year. The last we heard from him was the HEED CD in 2005 right???

You're right. Just found out he's in a band called LAVETT... They have a U.S. NuMetal influenced sound to me... not good. The LAVETT music isn't horrible but I would just hope Heiman would stay with Lost Horizon. To make things worse, in one of the band photos it looks as if he's wearing some sort of weird derby style hat... talk about an identity crisis. Check out the other dude with multiple scarves & sunglasses... wow... short sleeves and a scarf???

Crystal Eyes is one of the little known power metal bands that I just love to jam to sometimes (I can kind of tell i came to the dance late and the thread is no longer about crystal eyes, but I still waned to say my peace)
