Current addictions

I like one tune by Quo Vadis a lot, Silence Calls The Storm. A couple of cool riffs in there for sure.

That was the first song I heard from them and first I didnt think that the other songs could be as good as that but it turned around to be one hell of a band. You should try listening the song "In Contempt" it's a fucking great piece of death metal :p

Keep of Kalessin.. I brought their Armada record when I heard their Vengeance Rising song (watch it from youtube) and the drummers speed is just so insane. At the moment Im so addicted to this album.

Opeth's My Arms, Your Hearse too.

Been in a Doom mood...Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Obsessed, Candlemass, Reverend Bizarre, Witchfinder General, Electric Wizard...and I don't even need the green to feel the effect.

That album is very very intense indeed, the blasts just go on and on, hell yeah!

My addiction for the last 24 hours surely is Lifelover's "Erotik" album.

Porcupine Tree - Piano Lessons, Even Less
Katatonia - Code Against the Code
Natalie Merchant - Not In This Life (yeah, random)
Bush - Prizefighter
Deftones - MX
Oceansize - The Charm Offensive
Opeth - Coil

First and foremost, The Cure's 'Disintegration' album. I just got this on Saturday after having had 'Pornography' for a few years, and it's blowing me away. The reason I got it is that my girl, before leaving Saturday for two weeks, told me that her theme song for me is 'Lovesong'. So of course I had to buy it and listen. Automatically it is my favorite The Cure song, even displacing the godly 'One Hundred Years'.

Aside from that I have been addicted to Negura Bunget's 'OM'.

I have so many great memories of listening to that album a couple years ago. I was a Cure fanatic for a little while.

Without a doubt, superb album.

The Same Deep Water As You is my favorite from that album, fucking love that song.

For sure!

I remember I was at this summer camp thing and I really didn't want to be there (was talked into it) and I forgot to bring my medication and I was depressed as hell, and I pulled out my walkman and just listened to disintegration over and over. Then I went home. But, the same deep water as you is miserable. But a great one. :headbang:

I have a confession: If it wasn't for personal reasons, 'The Same Deep Water As You' would probably be my favorite song on that album. The way he sings 'swimming the same deep water as you' is SO sad - it reminds me a lot of Jonas in his more desolate moments. I've been listening to 'Homesick' a lot, too. That one doesn't seem to get mentioned very often, but it's a really nice, sad song. I like the lyrics on this album a lot, incidentally.

Anyway, since my previous post, I've been listening to a lot of Carcass's 'Necroticism...' in preparation for the show. It's melting my face off.
