i think it's intended to give the impression that you're at the bottom looking up, but i'm also sure the perspective is not perfectly defined for a reason, which might have something to do with the concept of being lost. to apathy.

That cut at the bottom right corner means it's a promotional CD. Most of them have a puch hole trough the bar code, but some have cuts. I think those are normally sent out to radio stations.
