The last I heard, Opeth were definitely coming at the end of the year after Japan. It's on the official website.

Of course, they said Opeth were coming last year in November, then this year February, and now the end of this year, so who fucking knows... still, this time looks the most promising!

I was in Metal Mayhem today and they've got flyers up with the date (Sept 12), the venue (HI FI) and it says tickets are onsale from the store and a couple of other places.

So I ask the guy and he rang his boss and found out they're not onsale for a couple of weeks or something.

But they're advertising tickets already...

Woohoo, Mayhem!! Stirring the otherwise placid strings of excitment in my heart!!

I've only been to the Hi Fi once (to see the comedian Al Murray) and I wondered what it would be like for a metal gig... It looks like a pretty good set up in there, especially for black metal.

Meanwhile, has the Dark Funeral thing been finalised or is that still up in limbo?

This is going to be great. I wonder how much tickets will be. I'll most likely be going to the first Melbourne Show. For some reason underage gigs don't appeal to me all that much....

When do tickets go on sale? And who through?

Then again, DF have to travel from Adelaide to Melbourne in a day, then play that night... that's a fucking 5 or 6 hour drive at least, so they might be pretty buggered....

Ah shit they'd do trips like that in Europe all the time! Leave Adelaide about midday, get to Melbourne about six and go on three or four hours later... heaps of time to recover!
