North Carolina-based doom/death metallers DAYLIGHT DIES have posted the following update on their web site:

"DAYLIGHT DIES have been very busy lately finishing up details on the first couple new songs while simultaneously diving into two other new songs. One of the songs has been demoed and all are very pleased with the result of the material. Although still much too far to give an overall idea of what the next album will sound like, the newest material continues and certainly improves on dark, moody and dramatic stylings, while progressing on variety and fresh ideas. More detailed comments can be made upon the completion of further material. We've had numerous encouraging vocalist submissions, but no definite decision has been made as of yet. The live video from the Netherlands will most likely be online shortly — keep checking these news updates for information regarding this.

"Thanks to a genius idea by a long-time friend and fan, we were lucky enough to partake in brewing five cases of our very own DAYLIGHT DIES English nut-brown ale. The beer was 'brewed' three weeks ago and was finally ready for mass consumption this past weekend. A weekend trip was taken up to a snow fallen Washington D.C. where Jesse and Barre, along with several good friends bottled and labeled the fresh brew and indulged in a simultaneously exceptionally memorable, and yet somehow not so memorable weekend. An enormous amount of gratitude goes to all those involved!"
