I just bought these nice items for my kick drum triggers for live situations. some of you might ask me why i would do that if the sound guy can control it at the board. I am using the Dm5 Module. I just like to customize my sounds and the sound guy litereraly just has to get a signal and adjust the out volume and go. Do you think this is a cool/good idea or just let it be and save the $300...thanks

Not doing any work on your trigger sounds at all and leaving them to the sound guy is like leaving all your amp eqs on 12oclock and letting the sound guy sort that out on the desk

good move i say!

To a point, the FOH engineer is always gonna have to tweak the EQ on the kick to sit in the mix and to work with the room. Its good that you can shape the signal before it reaches him - so you can get the main EQing done, and compression all sorted. The FOH engineer shouldnt have to touch compression on them now (given they trust you with your compression haha) but yeah, as mentioned, minor EQ tweaks may still be needed at the desk..
