I'm recording this band, and we're triggering their drums. Got all the velocitys/threshholds figured out and everything was going fine. Came back an hour later and the kick trigger wasnt triggering anything! We tampered with it and the alesis settings for an hour or so. But no luck. I know the trigger works because i'd press really hard on the foam thingy and it'd send the signal. But wouldn't while attached to the kick.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah man, ive had triggers pack in on me loads, especailly live :/
Roland Triggers are better, they just dont fit on long hopped kicks.

Also my alesis IO i used in my live rig one of the inputs broke, so i had to switch to using another

Just pull the tape from the foam and have a look at the wires connected to the steel strip. It should be obvious where one of the wires have popped off. Strip a little bit of cable back, tin the wire and solder it back onto the metal strip. While you're there give the other wire a tug and see if it's going to come off. If it feels solid then it should be fine though.

Then just glue it all back together and you're set.
