I mixed Herem's debut album few months ago. They have now posted one song to their MySpace (unfortunately). Check it out:

It was a very interesting project. The band wanted this kicking raw and natural sound with lots of low end. I didn't use any drum samples. They recorded all the tracks at their own studio. The bass and one guitar was recorded live with the drums. There was some bleed in the drum overheads and ambience tracks, but it actually added some more "glue" and "dirt" to the sound. The mix would have been different without the band's input. They had the vision and I did my best to fulfil it. I think it came out pretty nice.
